Your Child's Experience

What Children Can Expect

Friendly, Welcoming Sessions

Every session is led by trained, approachable staff who prioritise building positive relationships with children. We create an environment where every child feels safe, valued and encouraged to join in.

Structured, Active Days

Whether it is a holiday camp, after-school club or swimming session, our programmes follow a clear structure. Children know what to expect, which helps them settle quickly and get the most out of the experience.

Inclusive for All Abilities

Our sessions are designed to include every child, whatever their starting point. Staff adapt activities so that all children can take part, build confidence and make progress at their own pace.

Clear Communication

We keep parents informed with practical information about sessions, timings, and anything you need to prepare. Our team is always happy to answer questions before, during, and after your child attends.

Safety First

Safety, Safeguarding & Supervision

The safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Every measure we take is designed to keep children safe, supported, and well supervised.

Enhanced DBS Checked Staff

All staff who work with children hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, completed as part of our safer recruitment process.

First Aid Qualified

Our delivery staff are first aid qualified, with appropriate cover in place at every session.

Safeguarding-First Approach

We operate a safeguarding-first culture. Staff are trained in safeguarding procedures and know how to raise concerns appropriately. Our safeguarding policy is reviewed regularly.

Fully Insured Provision

All Achieve Sports Academy (ASA) activity is covered by appropriate public liability insurance. Provision is confirmed as part of each booking or school agreement.

Risk Assessments

Risk assessments are completed for every venue and activity type. Schools and parents can request sight of relevant risk assessments at any time.

Supervision at All Times

Children are supervised throughout every session, from arrival through to collection. Registers are taken and collection procedures followed for all holiday camps and clubs.

Supporting Every Child

Confidence, Inclusion & Nervous Children

We understand that some children feel anxious about new activities, new people, or new environments. Our staff are experienced at supporting children who are nervous or unsure, and we take a gentle, encouraging approach.

  • Staff introduce themselves warmly and give children time to settle in
  • Children are never forced to participate. We encourage gently and at their pace
  • Activities can be adapted so children can take part at a level that feels comfortable
  • Clear instructions and demonstrations help children understand what will happen next
  • Children can take short breaks when they need time to reset before joining back in
  • Activities are designed so that every child can join in at their own level
  • Friendship groups and buddy systems can help children feel part of the group quickly
  • Staff use positive encouragement to build confidence without creating unnecessary pressure
  • We welcome information from parents and carers about approaches that help their child feel comfortable
  • Talk to us before the session if your child has specific worries so we can plan support in advance

Our goal is that every child finishes a session feeling proud of what they have achieved, whatever their starting point.
