Parents & Carers

What provision does Achieve Sports Academy (ASA) offer for children?

ASA runs holiday camps, after-school clubs, breakfast and lunchtime clubs, wraparound childcare, on-site pop-up swimming, and enrichment days. Provision covers all abilities and is open to children at partner schools and the wider community where applicable.

What age groups do you cater for?

Our provision is designed primarily for primary school-aged children. Exact age ranges may vary by session type and venue. Specific details are provided at the point of booking.

What if my child has additional needs or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?

We are committed to inclusive provision. All sessions are designed to include children of all abilities. Please tell us about your child's needs during the booking process so we can ensure the right support is in place. Staff will work with you to make any reasonable adjustments needed.

What happens if my child needs medication during a session?

We collect medical and allergy information during booking. Medication can be handed to staff, labelled, and stored safely. Staff will administer it according to your written instructions. Please discuss any complex medical needs with us before booking.

Can parents stay or watch sessions?

Holiday camps and clubs are drop-off sessions. Staff are fully responsible for children throughout. For swimming and school-based sessions, access arrangements follow school policy. Contact us if you have specific questions about a particular session type.

Bookings & Payments

How do I book a place for my child?

Holiday camps, clubs and activity sessions can be booked online through our bookings page, powered by our ClassForKids booking system. Browse the available sessions, check availability and complete your booking in a few steps. If you are unsure which session is right, contact us and we will help.

What information do I need to provide when booking?

You will need your child's name, date of birth, school year, emergency contact details, and any relevant medical or allergy information. Payment details may be required to confirm your place.

How do I pay for a session?

We will confirm payment options with you when you book. For block bookings, full payment may be required to secure your child's place, and your place is confirmed once payment is received. Contact us if you have questions about payment options.

Can I cancel or change a booking?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking. We will do our best to accommodate changes or transfers. Booking terms and cancellation policies are shared at the point of booking.

Do you offer sibling discounts or multi-session discounts?

Discounts vary by session type and time of year. Contact us to discuss what is available for your family.

Safety & Safeguarding

Are ASA staff DBS checked?

Yes. All staff who work with children hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, completed as part of our safer recruitment process. Staff information can be shared with schools where required.

Do staff hold first aid qualifications?

Yes. First aid trained staff are present at every session. The specific qualification level is confirmed as part of each booking or school agreement.

What safeguarding procedures do you follow?

We operate a safeguarding-first culture. All staff receive safeguarding training appropriate to their role and know how to identify and report concerns. Our designated safeguarding lead oversees all safeguarding practice and our policy is reviewed regularly.

Are you insured?

Yes. All ASA activity is covered by appropriate public liability insurance. Certificates can be provided to partner schools as part of the setup process.

Do you complete risk assessments?

Yes. Risk assessments are completed for every venue and activity type. These are reviewed regularly and shared with schools before delivery begins. Parents can request sight of relevant risk assessments at any time.

Schools & PE Support

What can ASA offer primary schools?

ASA provides curriculum PE and Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) cover, breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs, wraparound kids club, teacher Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and mentoring, on-site pop-up swimming via Swim:ED, holiday camps, and enrichment days, all delivered on your school site.

How do schools get started with ASA?

Contact us for a no-obligation conversation. We discuss your timetable, facilities, pupils and objectives, then provide a clear proposal outlining provision, staffing and pricing. Once agreed, we handle all setup and delivery begins on your chosen date.

Can ASA support Sport Premium and Pupil Premium priorities?

Yes. Our provision is designed to complement school priorities, including Sport Premium and Pupil Premium outcomes. We can discuss how our programmes align with your specific targets during an initial conversation.

Do you provide CPD for school staff?

Can we choose individual services or do we need a full package?

You can choose one service or combine several into a plan that suits your school. Delivery can be one-off, termly or full-year, built around your timetable and priorities.

Swim Learn Achieve

How does on-site swimming work?

A heated pop-up pool is delivered to your school site and managed by our team. Pupils receive National Curriculum aligned swimming lessons without leaving the school grounds: no transport, no off-site timetabling, no permission slip chasing.

Is the pool safe?

Yes. The pool operates under comprehensive safety procedures with qualified lifeguard support, secure supervised access, and full risk assessments. Our delivery model is built around safety and safeguarding at every stage.

How long do sessions last?

Swimming sessions are typically 45 minutes per group, designed to maximise learning time within a school day. Groups are kept small to ensure quality instruction and progress.

Do you track pupil progress?

Yes. Each pupil's progress is tracked against National Curriculum outcomes for swimming and water safety, with clear reporting provided for schools and parents.

What areas do you cover for swimming?

Our Swim Learn Achieve programmes are delivered across our Swim:ED territories covering Tamworth, Nuneaton, North Warwickshire & Bedworth and South Derbyshire. Contact us to check availability for your school.

What activities are available at holiday camps?

Our camps offer over 40 activities across the programme, including sports and team games, Nerf Wars, dance, fitness challenges, themed activity days, creative challenges and team activities.

What are the session times for holiday camps?

Children can arrive during our flexible drop-off between 8:00am and 9:00am. The standard camp day runs from 8:30am to 3:30pm, and later collection is available from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Do children need to bring food?

For full-day and extended sessions, children should bring a packed lunch and healthy snacks. Water is available throughout the day and children should bring a refillable water bottle. Specific requirements will be shared in your joining instructions.

Are holiday camps open to all children or only certain schools?

Holiday camps are open to all children within the appropriate age range, subject to availability. Sessions are inclusive and designed to welcome children from any school.

How are children grouped at camps?

Groups are organised by age and stage wherever possible. Staff ensure that every child feels part of the group and is supported to join in activities at their own level.
